While the Lotus creative team still hasn't “made an official decision on where Season 4 will film," the insider says White, 54, has checked out the Four Seasons Tamarindo in Mexico. They add, "Mike White stayed there in December to check it out. That property is overlooked due to location but it is incredible."
However, the source notes: “It could all still change at the last minute due to various circumstances, but conversations are pointing that that’s where it’ll land.”
Parade has reached out to HBO for comment.
“Right now, it's looking like the next season of The White Lotus will be shot in Egypt or Mexico,” the source told Parade at the time. “They want to pick somewhere they haven't shot yet, so a new continent. They want to go somewhere completely new since this season is in Asia, which is why they're between the two."
The Emmy-winning series first premiered in 2021 and features a mostly rotating cast each season, save for a few recurring characters. The explosive Season 3 finale aired on Sunday.
