Kumar Kartikeya's IPL career
Kumar Kartikeya made his debut for Rajasthan Royals in the team's last match against Chennai Super Kings. However, he bowled just one over in the match and conceded 10 runs. He bowled over the wicket to the right-handers as he tried to stop the run flow.
Kartikeya was signed by Rajasthan Royals for his base price INR 30 lakhs. Before coming to Rajasthan Royals, he had played for Mumbai Indians. He made his IPL debut in 2022 while representing MI.
Rajasthan Royals finally get a win
Rajasthan Royals started the IPL 2025 season with two successive defeats. They lost their first match to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and then lost to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at their home base in Guwahati.
Riyan Parag led the team in all the three matches in the absence of the regular captain Sanju Samson, who wasn't fully fit. However, Samson is expected to take the role of captaincy for the next match.
Royals will next face Punjab Kings at Mullanpur and will be aiming to carry on their winning momentum. They have had a slow start to the tournament but will be confident after beating CSK.
