In a video posted to Instagram by Shields on Tuesday, March 18, the model and the mother of Travis and Jason Kelce played a game of cornhole against Roselyn Sanchez and Gina Torres for a very good cause—raising shingles awareness.
Led by Dr. Bayo Curry-Winchell, MD—otherwise known as Dr. Bayo—the game required its celebrity participants to answer questions about the painful condition before tossing their beanbags.
Shields and Kelce immediately knew the answer, calling out, "50!"
"Take a step to prioritize your health and ask your doctor or pharmacist about your risk for shingles and about prevention," she continued, adding, "@donnakelce, @roselyn_sanchez, @iamginatorres, and I know that shingles isn’t a game. It can be an isolating and painful experience that can disrupt your life for multiple weeks or even longer with potential long-term complications."

"Here are 2 things I learned as part of this campaign," Shields wrote, going on to reveal that "an estimated one million people develop singles annually in the United States" and "99% of adults 50 years and older already have the virus that causes shingles inside their body" which "can reactivate at any time, even though not all of them will develop shingles."
