The "Old Time Rock & Roll" singer, who turned 80 on Tuesday, May 6, was greeted with a throwback photo and a heartfelt message from Punch Andrews, who has worked with Seger for decades — serving more than 50 years as his manager and producing the majority of the musician's albums (both his solo records and as the frontman of the Silver Bullets Band.)
"Thanks for the many, MANY years, and a very long (lifetime) of friendship," Andrews captioned the snap. "Happy Birthday. -Punch."

Seger, who broke out in the '70s thanks to his hit album Night Moves, still has those same fans following his career today.
"Have a great Birthday Bob Your music is still the Best !" another posted on Facebook, recalling his first Seger show in Buffalo, New York. "Back in the early 70’s," the fan wrote. "Unbelievable Performance!"
"Happy Birthday, Bob. I've loved you forever. I've seen your concerts about 5 times," they penned. "Wish there were more shows coming."
After Silver Bullets bandmate Alto Reed died in 2020, Seger revealed on SiriusXM in 2021 (per the Detroit Free Press), that he doesn't "think I could go out (on tour) without him."
"I'm a lucky guy. What can I say?" he concluded. "I got to do what I wanted to do."
