Saturday forecast: Mostly clear skies, chilly across inland valleys ...Middle East

(KRON) – Saturday morning starts with generally clear skies and patches of stratus. Lows are chilly across the inland valleys. Morning lows will be from the upper 30s to lower 40s inland and the middle to upper 40s at the coast.

Clear skies and light winds are in store. High temperatures will reach the upper 60s to near 70 across the inland valleys, the upper 50s to the lower 60s along the coast, and the lower to middle 50s along the higher elevations.  

Dry conditions and seasonal temperatures continue through the weekend.

Unsettled weather returns to the Golden State on Monday, with greater impacts across southern California. Bay Area rainfall accumulation on Monday and early Tuesday is limited to drizzle and possibly a few hundredths of an inch.

Impactful rainfall arrives Tuesday night through Thursday. Rain totals will be 1 to 2 inches across the Bay Area, and up to 4 inches in the coastal ranges. These rain totals can still fluctuate as the details of the incoming trough come into better focus.

Computer models are hinting more storm systems coming in after the Tuesday-Thursday storm moves out, with the details still very unclear. The Climate Prediction Center states that over the 8-14 day outlook (March 15-21), the region leans towards temperatures below seasonal averages and precipitation totals near or above seasonal averages.
