ERIN ANDREWS and Charissa Thompson have opened up on their futures following their departures from Fox.

The duo’s deals with Fox Sports elapsed last month after Super Bowl 59, which saw the Philadelphia Eagles exact revenge on the Kansas City Chiefs.

The futures of the beloved presenters are currently unknown, so much so that the prospect of retirement has been brought up by some NFL fans.

And Thompson has joked she’d love for them to keep presenting when they’re old and grey.

During the latest episode of their Calm Down Podcast, she said: “Erin and I also have an affinity for local news. There’s going to be a time in our lives.

“I hope it’s a retirement community in Florida or somewhere where they can roll us out and we can work like a couple days a week.

“And The Morning News or anytime like the Evening News. Can you imagine?”

Thompson says she’ll look back on her time with Fox, and her friendship with Andrews, with extreme fondness in the years to come.

She said: “In a world where there’s competition sometimes in this space, it’s so nice to have an ally, my best friend, and my biggest supporter.

“I grew up at FOX. It has been with me through multiple divorces, and I always joke it’s been my longest-lasting relationship and my best one.”

Given the duo’s immense popularity, a return to Fox could one day be on the cards.

And former Fox NFL Sunday star Andrews hopes to be with her former employer should they bag a Vegas Super Bowl.

“I really hope I’m still employed by FOX when FOX gets a Vegas Super Bowl,” she said.

“This is epic, it’s Tuesday, it’s nutty, I wish the weather was better, but this is crazy.

“I just did a panel, and they were serving me like bloody Marys. The people were drinking at 9 a.m. when I was on the panel. It was nuts.”

Fox could also soon lose the services of veterans Jimmy Johnson and Terry Bradshaw.

The beloved Johnson, 81, was absent from several broadcasts last season – prompting concerns for his health.

Bradshaw, meanwhile, recently had a conversation with his wife about calling it quits – despite admitting he’s targeting the 2029 Super Bowl as his swansong.

The 76-year-old said: “‘I told my wife before I left the room a while ago, I’m sitting there… I said, ‘I’ve got two years left at FOX.

“I’m 76. Okay, so it’s a young man’s game. I get that.’ Everybody wants the new.”
