Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium was hosting the 7th match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 between the Group B teams - Australia and South Africa - but unfortunately, no play was possible due to rain in the city.

There was a delay in the toss ahead of the first-ever ICC Champions Trophy match between the Proteas and the Aussies. It was expected that the match would get underway after a slight delay as the weather in the city started to look good after a while.

However, rain didn't allow that to happen as it picked up after some time, and ground staff were forced to cover the pitch once again. With the cut-off time being 7:32 pm, there was no way the ground could have been readied for a 20-over contest.
