“The Ravens are hiring Donald D’Alesio as their defensive backs coach, per source.” posted Tom Pelissero via his ‘X’ account. “D’Alesio spent the past four seasons with the #Chiefs and is still only 33. A bright young coach.”

D’Alesio played defensive back for Youngstown State and later joined the team staff as a defensive coaching assistant and then as defensive coordinator. He later joined LSU as a defensive analyst, and in 2021, Kansas City hired him as an assistant on Steve Spagnuolo’s staff.

The Chiefs have seen growth in their secondary, with Trent McDuffie being named to the Associated Press All-Pro team in consecutive years and past standouts like Justin Reid and L’Jarius Sneed during his tenure. The Ravens join a growing list of teams hiring staff members from Kansas City’s dynasty in hopes of emulating their success.
