Alex Condon, who was last week’s SEC Player of the Week after leading No. 3 Florida to victories over Vanderbilt and No. 1 Auburn, was injured 30 seconds into Tuesday night’s game at No. 22 Mississippi State and will not return, a school spokesperson told ESPN.
Condon was down on the court and in serious pain during the opening moments of the showdown in Starkville.

Condon, who is averaging 11.0 points and 8.1 rebounds this season, was dominant last week, averaging 18.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in those 2 wins last week.

He immediately headed to the locker room after being tended to by trainers. Condon could not put much weight on the right leg, so it’s not a big surprise that he was ruled out for the rest of the game soon later.
Losing Condon is just the latest dose of adversity for the Gators, who are playing on Tuesday night without star guard Alijah Martin.
At halftime, Mississippi State leads Florida 34-33. The game is airing on ESPN2.
