The NFL analyst was part of an unfortunate technical malfunction during the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears game.

So the Dallas Cowboys icon attempted to use his telestrator to highlight Minnesota safety Josh Metellus, who was a blitzer on the play.
However, the telestrator didn’t perform the mission, to say the least.
The telestrator highlighted the back judge official who was standing about 30 yards behind the line of scrimmage.
“Well, they’re going to bring Metellus, in the middle,” Aikman said.
After noticing the telestrator’s mistake, he continued, saying, “Wherever he is right?”
It’s not known if Aikman’s telestrator didn’t work or if the NFL Hall of Famer’s telestrator grip wasn’t up to the task.
Nonetheless, NFL fans reacted to the clip of the sequence which was posted by Awful Announcing.
“I had to rewind it when I saw this earlier,” one commented.
“The refs only play defense for Green Bay or KC,” another wrote.
Aikman wasn’t the only NFL analyst in Week 15 to confuse a player with someone else.
Amazon Prime Video’s Kirk Herbstreit misidentified San Francisco 49ers star offensive lineman Trent Williams on the sideline during the Los Angeles Rams victory on Thursday Night Football.
As for the MNF contest, the Vikings beat the Bears by a score of 30-12, handing Chicago their eighth consecutive loss.
Minnesota held the Bears without a touchdown until late in the fourth quarter.
The Vikings got rushing touchdowns from running backs Aaron Jones and Cam Akers as it was the first time they had more than one touchdown on the ground in a game this season.
Both quarterbacks struggled in the contest.
Chicago’s Caleb Williams completed 18 of 31 pass attempts for 191 yards and a touchdown and rushed four times for three years.
He also coughed up a fumble in the contest.
Minnesota’s Sam Darnold finished with 16 incompletions which was the second most in a game for Minnesota.
The Vikings’ victory lifted them to 12-2 and are in a statistical tie with the Detroit Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Minnesota will face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15 while the Bears will host the Lions.
