Max Gail Makes a Ghostly Return To ‘General Hospital’ ...Saudi Arabia

The fan favorite made a surprise return to screens on the April 28, 2025, episode of the soap opera as he appeared to his son, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), as he recovers from a major cardiac surgery.

Gail took over the role of Mike Corbin from Ron Hale in 2018. Hale last appeared in the series in 2011, after having played the role off and on since 1995. Meanwhile, Gail portrayed the role until 2020 when Mike passed away from Alzheimer’s. Since then, Gail has made appearances as a ghost to help his son in times of need. Gail also returned in 2021 to help usher Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando’s (Johnny Wactor) son Liam into heaven.
