The judge wowed audiences when she slipped into the exact same dress she wore for her momentous finale performance when she was a contestant on the show in 2005.
Underwood chose to wear the throwback dress in honor of the April 28 "iconic Idol moment" theme, giving longtime fans and viewers, who have been watching since she emerged victorious over Bo Bice 20 years ago, a super nostalgic moment.
While she initially paired the dress with crimped hair (as was the style at the time), the 42-year-old swapped it for a more modern look with a half-up-half-down updo, a smoky eye and a peachy gloss.
