McLaren has secured a front-row lockout for today’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with Lando Norris claiming pole position ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri. Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz will start from third, followed by Max Verstappen in fourth. Verstappen was promoted one position after Nico Hulkenberg received a three-place grid penalty for overtaking two cars in the tunnel section when exiting the pit lane. As a result of Hulkenberg's penalty, Pierre Gasly moves up to fifth, with Mercedes' George Russell in sixth. Hulkenberg now starts from seventh. Fernando Alonso and Valtteri Bottas will line up in eighth and ninth, while Sergio Perez takes tenth, in what is expected to be his final race for Red Bull
