Gobble-gobble, my good people. I hope your day is filled with family, food, friends, and football. Since it’s Thanksgiving, I’ve gotta do at least a little “thankfulness” thing, when thinking about the Cubs. It’s been a relatively disappointing stretch, up to and including a sense that this offseason may not be all that spectacularly transformative (TBD). But I am thankful that the Cubs play in a division where the thing should still be winnable in 2025. I’m thankful that the team does have a number of very good, steady, level-setting players on the roster. I’m thankful that the Cubs have Craig Counsell, the benefits flowing from whom should hopefully show up even more strongly in 2025
