EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is a summary of crime reports taken from the Greeley Police Department’s daily logs. Only a few of the hundreds of reports will be used in this weekly column because of space limitations.

May 3

2:30 a.m.: A caller in the 7500 block of Poudre River Road reported a party at an Airbnb had spilled out of the house and onto the lawn.

5:30 a.m.: A caller at an unknown address reported someone would not stop texting him and he was getting annoyed. An officer recommended blocking the number, which the caller had not thought to do.

7:45 a.m.: A caller at 10th Avenue and 24th Street reported a big, white sheet with something under it at the end of the road. The caller said it had been there for more than a week.

10:00 a.m.: A caller at an unknown address reported a neighbor was having a yard sale and people were walking through his yard — some harassing his wife when she asked them to leave.

May 4

2:15 a.m.: A caller in the 2400 block of 11th Avenue reported a rock shattered his front window. The caller had also recently had his front porch lights punched out.

4:30 a.m.: A caller at the U.S. 34 Bypass and 65th Avenue reported a van that crashed into a pole and was blocking traffic. The caller said the occupants were gone and there was alcohol in the vehicle.

6:00 a.m.: A caller at an apartment complex on 8th Avenue near the University of Northern Colorado reported that a man threatened to “blow his head off,” then the call disconnected. When officers arrived, they recognized the man — who admitted to being drunk — from previous interactions when he had smoked too much meth and became paranoid.

12:30 p.m.: A caller in the 6000 block of 1st Street reported a cat with no collar or tags followed him home the day prior and had not left since.

1:15 p.m.: A caller in the 900 block of 15th Street reported a naked man walking down the alley.

May 5

12:00 a.m.: A caller in the 2700 block of 33rd Avenue Place reported a man sitting on the caller’s porch and going through things. The caller had just returned home and was in front of his home in his vehicle.

2:00 a.m.: A caller at 7th Avenue in Garden City reported someone sitting in an empty lot across the street. The caller could not give a description but saw a light flicker and the person move.

2:00 p.m.: A caller at an unknown address reported her cousin kept driving by her house and threatening her family with a BB gun.

6:00 p.m.: A caller in the 1900 block of 12th Street reported a man in front of his house “swinging his bike around” and digging in the caller’s yard.

6:15 p.m: A woman at the Greeley Police Department reported she had hired a man to complete several projects around her house. After the most recent project, the man’s “partner” started messaging the woman, telling her that the worker was a “very dangerous man” who was on the run from New York.
