Beginning Friday, Nov. 1, the suspension of residential outdoor burn permits will be lifted, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection reported. In a press release this week, the Cal Fire Mendocino Unit announced that “Chief Brandon Gunn is formally cancelling the burn permit suspension and advises that those possessing current and valid agriculture and residential burn permits can now resume burning on permissible burn days” as of 12:01 a.m. Nov. 1, 2024.
