As the demand for the resignation of Minister Arun Sahoo grew louder, the Minister reacted to the controversy surrounding Pari murder case. He said that the Crime Branch probe into the matter was a welcome step. The matter relates to the death of a five year old girl in Odisha’s Nayagarh district. Distraught over inaction, her parents had attempted self-immolation bid in front of the Odisha Assembly. Her parents had accused Minister Arun Sahoo for shielding the prime suspect.
