A fire broke out on a tourist boat in Hurghada on Egypt’s Red Sea coast, during docking procedures, RT Arabic reported.
Emergency crews quickly doused the flames, fortunately reporting no casualties.
Red Sea Security Director, Hassan Abdel Aziz, was notified that a tourist boat had caught fire while mooring at a prominent hotel marina on Corniche Street in Hurghada’s El Dahar area.
Upon receiving the report, fire engines rushed to the scene and managed to extinguish the flames before they could spread to neighboring boats.
Security forces filed the necessary reports, and investigative authorities were informed to begin their work and determine the cause of the fire.
Relevant authorities in Hurghada have launched an investigation into the tourist boat fire. Investigators have commissioned a technical committee to ascertain the cause of the blaze, which completely consumed the boat but was brought under control before spreading to adjacent vessels.
