Sonora, CA…On 11/16/2020 at about 9 A.M., our office received a call that a female was attempting to climb over the fence at a local pre-school. The staff of the pre-school were able to put the school on lockdown prior to our arrival. When the first Officer arrived on scene, he located 38-year-old transient, Stephanie Grimaldi. Grimaldi refused to follow the commands of the Officer, and a struggle ensued. During the confrontation, Grimaldi attempted to take the Officer’s firearm. Grimaldi was eventually taken into custody.
