Leona M. (Schivelbein) Laurent, was born May 28, 1925 in Stony Ridge, Ohio. She passed away on August 11, 2023 in Greeley, Colorado. Leona married September 6, 1948 to her lifelong love, C.E. Laurent, who along with her eldest son, Stephen C., preceded her in death. She is survived by her remaining children John, Kent, Debra, Melissa, and Mark. Leona had 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. She is also survived by her brother, Albert and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Leona was one of 11 children born to Russian immigrants. She worked on the family farm until she was old enough and moved to San Francisco to find other work. She met and married her husband,
