When does Dancing with the Stars Season 34 premiere in 2025?

Though a season premiere has yet to be announced, we should expect it to come in mid to late September 2025.

We don't have a finale date for DWTS Season 34, let alone a premiere date. But, given how recent seasons have ran, we can expect Season 34 to end right before or after Thanksgiving 2025.

What channel is Dancing with the Stars on?

DWTS will most likely continue to air Season 33 simultaneously on ABC and Disney+, with episodes available the next day through Hulu. This change was brought about in 2023, after a year away from broadcast TV and purely on streaming.

“It's a privilege for Dancing with the Stars to become the first live series simulcast on ABC and Disney+,” said Valerie Bruce, general manager, BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions, in a press release. “This demonstrates the belief that ABC and Disney have always shown in our iconic format and how it’s become a pop-culture powerhouse with millions of fans. We’re thrilled to embark on this new phase in our partnership which has been going strong for nearly two decades.”

Dancing with the Stars premiered June 1, 2005 and concluded its 33rd season on ABC on Nov. 26, 2024. For Season 31, the dance reality series moved to Disney+, before moving back to ABC as well for Season 32.

Will Alfonso Ribiero return as host for Dancing with the Stars Season 34?

Barring a major shake-up, Alfonso Ribiero will continue his role as DWTS host. In July 2022, it was announced that the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star (and DWTS Season 19 champ) would be serving as co-host for Season 31. “Dancing with the Stars has been such an important part of my life for so many years, and I am ecstatic to officially re-join this tight-knit family as co-host,” he said.

Barring a major shake-up, in addition to Alfonso, Julianne Houghwill stay on in her role of co-host for DWTS Season 33. She took the spot previously occupied by Alfonso in the skybox, talking to couples after their performances. This will be the third different role she has had with the show, dancing as a pro for five seasons (and winning Seasons 4 and 5), as well as serving as a judge from 2014 to 2017.

Bruno and Carrie have been with the show since the beginning, while Derek won the show six times as a pro, then sat on the panel since Season 29 to replace Len Goodman.

Are there any new rules in 2024 for DWTS Season 34?

We don't know if there'll be any new rules yet. The last big change in the rules came in Season 28 of Dancing with the Stars after the shocking victory of Bobby Bones the previous season. First, the audience was now able to vote both online and by text, limited to only 10 votes per couple per method. The second saw the institution of the somewhat controversial "Judges' Save," where the judges chose who would go home out of the bottom two couples every week.

Disney ABC has yet to announce whether DWTS has been renewed for Season 35 in 2026.
