A British national died in Iran last month after travelling there to undergoing cosmetic surgery, according to media reports. Louise Smith, a hair stylist who lived in Dubai, travelled to Iran for a procedure, The Sun and The Mirror newspapers reported. She died on July 28, aged 37. Iran is known for offering cosmetic surgery at extremely low prices, with 150,00 nose jobs believed to have been carried out in the country in 2019. It is not clear which procedure Smith undertook, nor whether it was directly linked to her death.
