In a new video from the event, which took place on the evening of Friday, June 6, Cyrus could be seen sitting in a chair on stage, with one of the moderators speaking when a voice rang out from the audience, shouting, "We thought this was a concert! We paid $800!"
In another clip, somebody else shouted out, "Miley, sing 'The Climb!'" She schooled her features quickly, replying, "You have to start it," before singing a few lines, which were washed out by the audience screaming and singing along.
@mileyeditions
Attendees at Miley Cyrus film premiere were upset she did not sing. Luckily for them she is nice.
♬ original sound - dailyeditions"She did not deserve that what the hell?" another asserted.
"What a trifling crowd. Didn’t deserve her beautiful soul," somebody else declared, adding, "Shoulda knew what you were buying."
"how cud anyone think it's a concert, it's literally says tribeca film festival," others pointed out.
The original event page doesn't say anything to indicate it's advertising a concert, but based on the pricing noted by the audience member, it seems likely that they purchased the tickets on a resale site, which may have posted them with misleading information.
"Bruh she handled that so well ???," one said, while another called her "a class act."
