Paralympian Ihor Tsvietov says he was showing “respect for Ukraine” when he shunned a pair of Russian sprint rivals on the podium in uncomfortable scenes in Tokyo. Defending champion Tsvietov was sandwiched between Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) duo Dmitry Safronov and Artem Kalashian in the men’s 100m T35 race on Monday, taking home silver.
