Islamabad: The city administration of Gwadar has announced a complete lockdown in the district for 15 days to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The announcement comes amid another spike in coronavirus cases in Pakistan fuelled by the contagious Delta variant. All shops, hotels and restaurants will be completely closed for the next two weeks starting July 25, according to the official notification. However, all essential shops would be allowed to function. All leisure facilities including parks, beach spots and playgrounds will also remain closed in Gwadar, a port city in southwestern Balochistan province.
