Ras Al Khaimah: Ras Al Khaimah Police have closed down at least 25 social media accounts that were being used to promote sale and consumption of drugs in the emirate, said Major Abdel Nasser Al-Shirawi, Head of Anti-Narcotics Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police. According to RAK Police, the drug dealers and traffickers were trying to evade the police and sell illegal substances through their personal social media accounts. Police said the Anti-Narcotics Department has set-up an electronic drug control patrol team that monitors social media accounts for such activities.
