San Jose, CA…Update from the Sheriff’s Dept on Active Shooter at Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) — Light Rail Yard 101 W Younger Ave. in San Jose. On May 26, 2021 at approximately 6:34AM, the Sheriff’s Office received a call of an active shooter at a Santa Clara County Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) building located at 101 West Younger Avenue in San Jose. Deputies arrived within minutes of the initial call and immediately ran into the building where the shots were fired.
