The Fourth of July is starting mostly sunny and warm in metro Denver, but a few fireworks in the form of thunderstorms are expected to develop in the afternoon. The temperature is forecast to reach a high of 89 degrees.
The National Weather Service in Boulder said scattered showers are expected Friday morning with additional showers and storms moving in by afternoon. There’s a 20% chance for showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m.
