Open mic nights closed
After hosting an open mic night last month, the owner of Stilettos said the former wine bar is shutting down for the summer.
Although Stilettos no longer operates as a wine bar, the business owner was allowing open mic nights to be held at its former location at 14527 Big Basin Way. The first open mic night was on June 26, and the event was expected to be held every other Thursday night.
It is unknown whether open mic nights will restart or if they will stay at the same location.
July 4 fireworks
Although fireworks are illegal in Saratoga, locals can still watch sanctioned fireworks displays.
Hyde Middle School in Cupertino will be hosting a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. The sky over Lake Cunningham Park in San Jose will light up starting at 9 p.m. For those who have tickets for the San Jose Giants’ game against the Stockton Ports, Excite Ballpark will also hold a fireworks show on both July 4 and 5 after the game.
Due to fire risk, it is advised that people do not use fireworks and to not leave barbecues or open flames unattended.
