The best has been saved until last in the last 16 of the Club World Cup as two European football giants collide in Miami on Tuesday.
Real Madrid and Juventus are two of the most recognised clubs on the planet, but only one can tee up a quarter-final with either Borussia Dortmund or Mexico’s Monterrey, who meet in the final tie of the round of 16 in the early hours of Wednesday.

Bet of the Day – Real Madrid to win & both teams to score @ 5/2
It is early days for Real Madrid and their new manager, Xabi Alonso, but there have been some positive signs for Madridistas to get excited about.
Alonso set up Madrid with a five-man defence in Real’s routine 3-0 win over RB Salzburg in their final group game on Thursday, albeit wing-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Fran Garcia were at times two of the most advanced players such was Real’s dominance.
Salzburg rarely tested Madrid’s resolve, but Juventus should offer more of a threat.
The Serie A side scored 11 goals in the group stage, and while nine of those came against modest opposition in Wydad AC and Al Ain, they did score with their only two shots on target in a 5-2 defeat to Manchester City.
That demonstrated their threat but also that, at present, the Turin side are not quite at the level of the best sides in the world.
At 5-2, a Real win and both teams to score could be the way to go at Hard Rock Stadium.
Special of the Day – Trent Alexander-Arnold to score or assist @ 19/10
A greater licence to get forward will be music to the ears to England international Alexander-Arnold.
The former Liverpool ace was a consistent provider of goalscoring opportunities during his time at Anfield and there is a chance that Alonso’s tactics could see him become more of a goal threat of his own for Madrid.
Juventus showed their vulnerability at the back against Manchester City and Alexander-Arnold could be a key outlet for Madrid as they seek to exploit any space down the flanks.
Longshot of the Day – Monterrey @ 17/5
Borussia Dortmund should fancy their chances of a Club World Cup quarter-final appearance, given the draw, but the Bundesliga side should not dismiss Mexico’s Monterrey.
Dortmund have hardly set the world alight at the tournament, edging past Mamelodi Sundowns and Ulsan HD and drawing 0-0 with Fluminense, and Monterrey conceded only one goal in three group games.
Draws against Inter Milan and River Plate were excellent results for Monterrey, who then put Urawa Red Diamonds to the sword in their final outing in Group E as they ran out 4-0 victors over the Japanese club in Pasadena.
At the prices, Monterrey are definitely worth taking a chance on at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
