The highlight of a tennis fan’s summer is here, with the 138th edition of Wimbledon underway.
Carlos Alcaraz successfully defended his title at SW19 last year after beating rival Novak Djokovic in straight sets on Centre Court.

Jannik Sinner is sure to be involved in the battle for a Grand Slam along with in-form British No.1 Jack Draper, who will aim to emulate Andy Murray.
In the women’s singles, No.31 seed Barbora Krejcíkova beat Jasmine Paolini to surprisingly win her first title at Wimbledon last year.
But World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka will be out to end her wait for a Grand Slam title at SW19, while Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff will surely challenge too.
When is Wimbledon 2025?
Wimbledon began on Monday, June 30.
The tournament will be played over 14 days, with it coming to a close on Sunday, July 13.
The men’s singles final is scheduled for the final day of play.
Meanwhile, the women’s singles final will be held a day earlier on Saturday, July 12.
The action on the outer courts is set to get going at 11am each day, with it starting at 1pm on the show courts.

The entirety of Wimbledon will be broadcast free-to-air on the BBC.
Coverage will be split between BBC One and BBC Two, as well as online via BBC iPlayer, the BBC website and their mobile app.

Due to the incredible demand for Wimbledon tickets, it’s very hard for fans to secure themselves a spot to watch the action.
A public ballot is run each year, which sees fans sign up to find out whether they have been successful or unsuccessful.
Unfortunately, the ballot is already closed for the 2025 tournament and the successful entrants will already have found out who they are.
However, there is still a way for members of the public to get into Wimbledon.
And it is, of course, via The Queue, which is an iconic part of the event and sees fans line up in their thousands outside the venue.
Each day, a queue will form and you can buy either show court tickets or ground tickets – but they are sold on a best available, first-come-first-served, one-per-person basis.
Once the capacity has reached its limit, entry will only be possible if someone exits, meaning you are not guaranteed to get in.
