TWO teenagers have died in a “tragic” car crash near the Cambridgeshire border.
The collision, on June 28, saw a huge emergency response scramble to the Sandy Road between Everton and Sandy at around 2pm.
Two teenagers, aged 18 and 19, were pronounced dead at the scene of the horror two-vehicle crash.
The men’s next of kin have been informed and police family liason officers are supporting them.
A number of other individuals were injured in the smash and were rushed to hospital.
The road was closed while cops carried out an investigation into the incident.
Sergeant Nicholas Kane, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit, said: “This is an unbelievably tragic incident, and our thoughts are very much with all of the family and loved ones of the two men who have sadly died in this collision today.
“I am appealing for anyone who was travelling along Sandy Road and Everton Road shortly before 2.40pm to contact us, especially if you have dash-cam footage, even if it doesn’t show the collision itself.”
