Denver street gang leader gets 33 years in prison for murder conspiracy ...Middle East

A leader of Denver’s “Few But Plenty” street gang, which has been linked to dozens of drive-by shootings, was sentenced Friday to 33 years in prison, according to court records.

Phillip Serapio Baca, 44, took a deal and pleaded guilty in March to conspiracy to commit murder and violating the state’s organized crime act.

That plea deal dropped 21 additional felony charges of attempted murder, assault, attempted assault, menacing and conspiracy from Baca’s case, according to court records.

Baca was one of nearly a dozen members of the “Few But Plenty” gang indicted on 114 felonies involving 47 victims in 2022, after a two-year investigation by the Regional Anti-Violence Enforcement Network.

Baca was accused of ordering young men to commit crimes, including his sons and nephews, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

In one case, Baca ordered men to shoot the home of a rival gang member more than 20 times, according to the office.
