On the album's release, she celebrated in the best way possible – kicking off the Woodsies tent at Glastonbury on Friday morning with a surprise set so big security had to shut down the field.

What is the cover art of Lorde's Virgin album?
The album cover art for Lorde's fourth album, Virgin, consists of an X-ray scan image of a woman's pelvis.
In the image, viewers can also see a belt buckle, a trouser zipper, and an IUD coil present.
Describing the album, Lorde, whose real name is Ella Yellich-O'Connor, said: "THE COLOUR OF THE ALBUM IS CLEAR. LIKE BATHWATER, WINDOWS, ICE, SPIT. FULL TRANSPARENCY. THE LANGUAGE IS PLAIN AND UNSENTIMENTAL. THE SOUNDS ARE THE SAME WHEREVER POSSIBLE. I WAS TRYING TO SEE MYSELF, ALL THE WAY THROUGH. What singles has Lorde released from her new album?
The lead single for Lorde's next album is What Was That, which she debuted with a teaser on TikTok on 9th April 2025.
On 22nd April, she returned to Washington Square for a listening party for the new song – informing fans on Instagram to be there at 7pm.

Following this, the track was released officially on 24th April 2025 along with a music video of Lorde cycling around the city, which you can watch below.
