“I ended up at a Beyoncé concert, don't ask me how, but I was there with someone and [Leighton] ended up sitting right next to me,” Crawford, 39, told People in an interview published on Wednesday, June 25. “She's like, ‘What are you doing here?’ And it was so loud. We were trying to catch up. I was like, ‘Look, we're going to lunch or something. We’ve got to actually catch up properly.’"
Meester appeared on the CW drama as Blair Waldorf, while Crawford portrayed Nate Archibald. While their characters were initially introduced as love interests, the fictional couple broke up and remained in the same friend group throughout the series.
“I still see Jess [Szohr]. I went to her wedding and I'll see her this summer on a trip,” Crawford revealed. “It's kind of like college. Everyone goes in their separate places, and you connect when you do.”
While Crawford isn't as close to some of his co-stars as he used to be, he said that he "loved all of them."
Crawford added that he would be open to working with any of his Gossip Girl co-stars in the future. “I could work with any of them from Gossip Girl,” he said. “Leighton is so funny. She's so good with comedy. I bet Ed could do comedy as well. I've always loved working with everybody.”
“If there was something that we could find that would be right, I mean, it'd be incredible,” Crawford said of Stan, 42. “He's like a leading man and a great character actor, and I find even playing the Deep [on The Boys], I would love to play a character as well. So maybe there's some character work in there."
