The little boy was born back in November 2021, and what started off as a typical labor quickly turned into an emergency, where Williams' little boy was in grave danger. Fortunately, they're both doing fine now, but back then, it wasn't quite as clear whether the duo were going to be okay.
Williams talked about the moment that her birth plan went awry during a recent appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.
"From the moment I arrived, pre-epidural, every time I had a contraction... his heart rate would go down," she told host Amanda Hirsch, calling the whole ordeal a "huge trauma" and "deeply stressful" while recalling the birth story. "I realized in that moment that I hadn't thought about the possibility of having a C-section."
Williams told Hirsch that the whole process made her feel vulnerable after the fact, but in the moment, she said that she wasn't fully processing her experience. Now, all these years later, it sounds like both Williams and Arlo are doing well. Hopefully by finally sharing her story, Williams will be able to put that traumatic moment behind her.
