REDWOOD CITY – A 66-year-old San Diego man was arrested on suspicion of robbing a bank Tuesday in Redwood City, police said.

“A single suspect passed a note to a bank teller demanding money,” police said in a news release.
The suspect took a seat in the lounge area of the bank after committing the robbery, according to police.
The bank was evacuated and the suspect voluntarily exited the business. He was arrested without incident and booked into San Mateo County jail on a charge of robbery.
An investigation is underway into the robbery.
