ROCHESTER, N.Y. – East High School will be closed on Wednesday, June 25, because of power outages. The school posted on their X page that the building does not have reliable electricity and cannot safely open for students or staff.
Students scheduled to take the Algebra II Regents exam will still test as planned. They will be taken to School Number 33 in the morning and brought back to East after the exam.
At this time, East Upper School graduation is still scheduled for Wednesday evening at the football field. The school will send a separate message with confirmation or any changes.
The Lower School will also be closed. Students who left personal items at school can return to pick them up next Monday or Tuesday morning between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
