‘Insane’ – WWE fans stunned by truth behind Logan Paul’s $30M contract ...Middle East

Logan Paul’s WWE run has been headline-grabbing for all the right reasons.

His leap from viral star to legitimate wrestler has seen him share the ring with Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes to name a mere few.

He’s even enjoyed a relatively long run with the United States Championship, too, after jaw-dropping moments the likes of which seasoned veterans wince at.

Now, two years after it first broke, a report estimating just what his WWE deal is worth has left some fans totally stunned.

In an issue of Wrestling Observer Newsletter from January 2023, tenured wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer was quoted saying: “His deal is around $20 million to $30 million.”

Further weight was thrown behind that figure when WWE Hall of Fame star Kevin Nash raged at what he’d heard was Paul’s mammoth wage – a supposed $5 per year.

The towering giant once known as Diesel in WWE blasted: “He’s not one of the boys… You don’t become one of the boys just because you’re around them.

“From what I heard he’s making five million bucks for limited [dates] and all those other guys are out there making house shows [non televised events]”

Not convinced by Paul’s undoubted viral social media star power, the multi-time former world champion added: “I don’t give a f*** how many people are following you. If it said you have 24 million road scholars following you, you’re f******* Jesus. You have a bunch of idiots.”

The 30-year-old upstart hit back at Nash, calling him ‘pathetic’ in response, but these eye-watering figures are gaining fresh attention online—and sparking a lively mix of shock, excitement, and debate.

One social media user bemoaned this week: “Logan Paul making $30 million while guys like Finn Balor put in work every week is insane.”

Another chimed in: “If Logan Paul’s WWE contract really is $30 million, then I don’t want to hear about budget cuts ever again.”

The transition into wrestling has been alarmingly smooth for the occasional boxerGetty

On the flip side, some praised WWE’s gamble given the likelihood Paul – and celebrity stars like him including rapper Travis Scott – have dramatically increased the number of ‘non wrestling fans’ who’ve tuned into the product to watch.

One said: “People forget he brings in a different kind of fan—this is about reach, not just ring work.”

Another conceded: “He’s obviously very talented… I wouldn’t mind him being full time.”

Logan’s athleticism is undeniable. From his rookie match at WrestleMania 38 to high-profile bouts with Reigns and Rollins, he’s proven he’s not a novelty.

He’s athletic, committed, and ready to take risks—from Frog Splash ladder dives to moments of crisp ring work with minimal experience.

Behind the scenes, Logan dominates off-screen too. He boasts the better part of 30 million YouTube subscribers across the YouTube channel bearing his own name and Impaulsive; billions of video views, and co-runs Prime, the explosive hydration brand—all of which translate to mainstream attention and sponsorship pull for WWE.

His deal reportedly spans multiple years, though it’s undisputed that Head of Creative Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque and co see his appeal beyond what happens between the bell – as evidenced by the staggering number of matches he’s wrestled since debuting, and how many title opportunities he’s been afforded by comparison.

In truth, even the weight of Paul’s name keeps WWE in the headlines – a case in point being the controversy caused by his overexuberance in sharing details of a business pitch to another icon in Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Austin – as one might expect – flatly refused to dress in a Prime bottle at WrestleMania earlier this year, and was less than impressed when the influencer blurted out he’d been offered $1 million to do it.

In a moment of rare contrition, the YouTuber turned boxer even apologised to Austin but by then, the headlines had been made, and tongues had been sent wagging.

2025, long after Nash’s finest hour in the wrestling business, maybe that is the point.

With 21 matches wrestled in over three years, it’s certainly not Logan Paul’s wrestling skills WWE are paying for – even if he is very good at it.

The debate Logan Paul debate is just beginning—that hefty pay packet has made sure of it.
