Turki Alalshikh is hoping to stage Jared Anderson vs Jarrell Miller on the Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford undercard.
Canelo is set to defend his undisputed super middleweight crown against Crawford on September 13 in Las Vegas.
As of yet, no fight has been officially added to the blockbuster bill, but Alalshikh insists there will be four fights on the main card, as well as ‘six to ten’ preliminary contests.
“We are brainstorming, but we are thinking about having Miller vs Jared Anderson on the undercard,” Alalshikh told Ring Magazine.
“We will see with Top Rank and with Jared. And we will have two more fights.
“The main card will be four fights. We will have Canelo-Crawford, the co-main event and two fights, one of which will be Jared and Miller if we finish it.
“Then there is another card that will start earlier for free everywhere.
“We are thinking about putting six to ten fights of talent.”
Other fights that are rumoured to be under consideration for the Canelo-Crawford bill are Abdullah Mason vs Sam Noakes and Bakhram Murtazaliev vs Josh Kelly.
However, Alalshikh didn’t touch upon either of these bouts.
For now, the only bout the Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority has earmarked is the all-American showdown between Anderson and Miller.
There is a considerable amount of animosity between the pair, so it should make for an intriguing build-up.
Miller hasn’t boxed since last AugustMark Robinson/MatchroomTheir feud came to a head when they shared a card together last August in seperate fights.
Miller took on Andy Ruiz Jr and Anderson was matched with Martin Bakole.
Despite this, they spent the majority of their final press conference going back and forth with each other.
“We offered you a fight two months ago, and you didn’t want no smoke,” barked Miller.
Anderson fired back: “No, you didn’t. Stop capping.”
Miller responded: “Nobody is capping. You’re softer than baby [blank], bro…
Anderson is rebuilding his career after defeat to BakoleGetty Images - Getty“You only fought one heavyweight on seven days’ notice, and he almost whooped your a****.
“Now, you got Martin Bakole, who has been in a line in the jungle.
“We’re going to see how you’re going to do. He’s not no cruiserweight you’ve been fighting, and Top Rank has been hyping you up. Fight a real heavyweight.”
Miller (26-1-2) was held to a contentious draw by Andy Ruiz Jr and hasn’t fought since.
‘Big Baby’ has had fights fall through with Derek Chisora and Fabio Wardley over the last few months due to contractual issues.
However, he appears to be free of those constraints now.
Anderson (18-1) was knocked out by Martin Bakole in a stunning upset that saw his stock fall significantly.
He rebounded with an unremarkable win over Greek journeyman Marios Kolias in February and is now set to jump back in at the deep end with Miller.
