Conservation Works and the UC Hopland Research and Extension Center brings family friendly event ...Middle East

Conservation Works and the UC Hopland Research and Extension Center (HREC) are bringing the community a FREE family friendly event on Saturday June 21, 2025 to showcase how crucial grazing animals can be for wildfire mitigation!

The event is taking place at HREC on June 21 (6/21) from 9 a.m.-noon. There will be free breakfast bites in the morning, a guided tour of the property to view grazing sheep in action, and unique activities centered around grazing animals and fire adapted landscapes. Participants will have the chance to work with sheep wool after a short hike and felt their own woolen ball, before enjoying their picnic lunch amongst the oaks.

This event is suitable for all ages. This is a wonderful opportunity to become fire smart and connect with nature, family and friends.
