‘Days of Our Lives’ Legend, 70, Reflects on Co-Star Losses and a Possible Return ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

On-screen, Bo Brady left Salem in November 2012, but the two remained married until September 2014, when Bo filed for divorce. In 2015, Bo returned to Salem to be with his “Fancy Face” and saved Hope from being murdered by her new husband Aiden Jennings. Bo was then quickly diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and passed away… only it turns out that Bo didn’t die.

Days of our Lives has lost some legacy actors since Reckell was last on full time. This includes Bo’s scene partners,  John Anniston, Bill Hayes, Drake Hogestyn and Wayne Northrope, Discussing these losses with Women’s World, Reckell shared “It’s just these powerhouses of daytime and Days of Our Lives! It’s been difficult for the production—not just the actors, but the whole team. That heartache is just… a lot.” Discussing playing out John Black’s death Reckell added, “The writers gave me some pretty amazing material, bringing in very personal things that Drake and I shared with each other.” He continued, “As characters on the show, we started out as enemies. We were fighting all the time and had all this physical stuff, but then, we became basically brothers—and that carried into our real lives. Those emotional things you go through as actors, they stay with you. You pretended to love, and guess what? Even though it’s pretense and it’s not real, those feelings are there.”

This is not the first time that the actor has already expressed interest in returning to the Peacock streaming soap opera in a longer term return.

Now the actor has retweeted that sentiment with a bit of an addition saying, “Several of you responded by asking me to come back to DOOL. I would love to go back, the show just has to find room for me. Thanks so much for your continued support, it means a lot after all these years!!
