The “hardest course in the world” has fully lived up to its expectations, with the world’s best faltering – including Bryson DeChambeau failing to cut – and bad weather seeing play briefly SUSPENDED.
Spaun, playing in the US Open for just the second time, was the only player to finish under par as he scored -1.
Scot Bobby MacIntyre finished second on one over, ahead of Viktor Hovland (+1) and Tyrrell Hatton, Cameron Young and Carlos Ortiz, who were all three over.
