VVS Laxman has temporarily taken over from Gautam Gambhir as India’s head coach. Already present in England as head coach of India’s U19 team, Laxman will oversee the senior team until Gambhir comes back from India. It’s expected that Gambhir will join the team before the India vs England Test series kicks off on June 20.

Former Indian fast bowler Yograj Singh thinks that MS Dhoni has done more harm than good for Indian cricketers as India’s all-format captain from 2007 to 2014. He thinks Dhoni destroyed the careers of 7 players, namely, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Mohammed Kaif, VVS Laxman, and Rahul Dravid.
Hundreds for Shardul Thakur & Sarfaraz Khan
Shardul Thakur and Sarfaraz Khan turned out to one-up the likes of Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and KL Rahul in the India vs India A match in Beckenham by scoring hundreds. Both have reassured him that they don’t have lofty expectations from him in his first series as captain. They just want Gill to express himself as a leader.
