Yograj Singh questions Vaibhav Suryavanshi
IPL’s wonderkid Vaibhav Suryavanshi is dreaming about making Test debut in the near future. But former India cricketer Yograj Singh, who is Yuvraj Singh’s father, is not fully convinced. He has questioned whether the 14-year-old could play for five days or does he have the fitness to do so. Yograj believes that Test cricket is the only measurement of true greatness, despite white-ball success. Suryavanshi scored the second-fastest century in IPL to stun everyone in the world.
“My vision is Test cricket. Can you survive five days? That’s the real test. 50 overs – fair enough. 20 overs – fair enough. I don’t go by these formats. But since they (formats) are there, you should be fit enough to play all three formats. Why do you struggle? Because you are only concentrating on T20, IPL and 50 overs,” Yograj Singh told InsideSport in an exclusive interview.
