A STAFFER at Chipotle has blasted a brand new dip offering that hasn’t even been released yet.
The last time the fast food giant brought a never-before-seen sauce to customers was five years ago with Queso Blanco.

Chipotle confirmed the arrival date in a press release earlier this month, where it noted the dip would be a “smoky, spicy twist on America’s beloved dipping sauce.”
Like everything else at the chain, it will be crafted fresh in-house on a daily basis with all real ingredients.
Those ingredients include adobo pepper, sour cream, and a carefully selected blend of herbs and spices.
Chipotle Rewards members can also get the Adobo Ranch sauce completely without cost on the launch day with the purchase of an entree.
The membership is also free to sign up for, but customers must do it by 11 pm PST on June 16 to qualify for the promotion and free guacamole with a $5 purchase.
After that, the Adobo Ranch will be an extra 75 cents per order, according to what a Chipotle spokesperson told The U.S. Sun.
While the excitement builds among Chipotle fans for the Adobo Ranch, an employee has already warned against getting the new dip, even if it is free.
“Adobo Ranch coming soon yall (its not good),” they wrote anonymously in a thread on Reddit.
Included was a snapshot of them making what appeared to be the Adobo Ranch in-house.
“It tastes like actual s**t I’m not even kidding,” they argued.
“It tastes like equal parts sour cream, ranch packet, and adobo. It does not mix well together.”
“I hope the recipe gets more refined before the drop,” the staffer added.
“It’s literally just sour cream and packet ranch with adobo.”

Some customers were shocked and questioned if they would purchase the dip after the employee’s negative review.
“YIKES! That sounds terrible,” a longtime Chipotle fan commented.
“I wanna know who greenlit this s**t it looks terrible. I can hear the refunds from here,” another echoed.
Still, several others argued in defense of the dip.
“Idk that sounds bomb,” someone commented.
“Idk, sounds like it has potential. They probably need to add some lime,” another agreed.
“But its yummy,” a third added.
Several other fans on TikTok have also praised the Adobo Ranch in videos, using it specifically on the Chicken Quesadilla.
CHIPOTLE SPEAKS OUT
Chipotle noted when reached for comment by The U.S. Sun that it rigorously tested the Adobo Ranch throughout 2024 for feedback from customers and staff.
“We leveraged our signature stage-gate process to test Adobo Ranch in Los Angeles and Columbus, Ohio last summer to test, listen and learn from guest and employee feedback before deciding on a national roll out strategy,” a spokesperson wrote in an email.
Either way, Chipotle’s move to introduce Adobo Ranch comes as it suffers a bit of a sales slump.
Same-store sales dropped in the first quarter of this year, a first since 2020.
Chipotle executives blamed the dip on current economic uncertainty, resulting in consumers preferring meals at home.
Among other efforts, it’s hoping to spark foot traffic with Adobo Ranch given that ranch itself “cultural phenomenon,” according to Chipotle’s chief brand officer, Chris Brandt.
Several other fast food giants are also introducing new offerings this summer.
McDonald’s, for example, finally revealed that the Snack Wrap would return to menus starting in July.
Wendy’s also unveiled a new item recently in partnership with an iconic brand, but you can’t get it at a restaurant.
