You won't catch Bosworth ordering an oat milk latte. "I don’t believe in plant-based milk. I never have, even as somebody who’s entrenched in the wellness industry," she says. "I always thought it was silly, and I’ve always been the person who reads the ingredient list like, 'What’s in here?' I love half-and-half in my coffee, and I love butter. Drink the milk!"On the flip side, she's really intrigued by peptides—specifically, NAD supplementation. "Anecdotally, NAD is very helpful for fertility, and I can testify to that," she says. "I've done NAD injections for a year and a half, and I’ve seen a significant improvement in my health. Peptides are the real deal, in my opinion. " Related: Wait, Can You Freeze Butter? Where She Is With Her Endometriosis and Inflammation Journey
It was only through her fertility journey with her fiancé that Bosworth finally learned what was causing all of this. "You can do a uterine biopsy, and if the cells they take show inflammation, it is suggestive that you have endometriosis. But you need surgery to confirm it," she explains. "I had the surgery the day before Valentine’s Day this year, and [my fiancé] Dom brought me Taco Bell in bed which was my request! I feel a lot better, but the surgery was pretty significant. It took a long time to recover from physically, but also mentally and emotionally, because I hadn’t really shared anything with my family and friends at that point."Now, Bosworth prioritizes an anti-inflammatory lifestyle. "It's important to identify what's inflammatory for you and what's inflammatory for everyone," she says. "Alcohol is a toxin for everyone. Do I drink sometimes? Yes, absolutely. I love a gin martini. But did I used to drink way more? Also yes. I used to go out all the time."She goes on to explain that it's important to figure out what's inflammatory for you. "I think there are things that can be challenging for every human body that you can try to avoid, but for others, figuring out what foods are inflammatory for you can be really helpful and important. Maybe you have a problem with eggs. I don’t have a problem with eggs, but some people might."Related: Here's What Happens to Your Body if You Eat Eggs Every Day
