The Phineas and Ferb voice actress, 39, got candid about watching the teen bring her iconic HSM to life while chatting exclusively with Parade.
“She was really cute. She was so amazing,” Tisdale says. “And it was really amazing to see her just sing the songs. It was just such a wild [experience]. Life is wild, you know? It's just so cool. She's up there singing it. And then because of my niece, my 4-year-old daughter is now into High School Musical because she saw her cousin perform. And she thought it was the coolest thing ever.”
Tisdale famously portrayed Sharpay in all three of Disney's High School Musical films, which premiered in 2006, 2007 and 2008, respectively. The franchise also starred Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel and more.
“I love it,” Tisdale says of voicing character Candace. “It's so much fun. Like, it's a dream job. So it feels like we never really left. And I just love playing Candace. She's a real crazy girl.”
