Auburn will make history this weekend — one way or the other.
For the first time ever, Auburn baseball will host a Super Regional this weekend. Auburn has enjoyed some success as a program, but it has never before been in position to host a Super Regional despite 6 previous College World Series appearances.
To mark the occasion, Auburn released a new hype video ahead of its Super Regional matchup against Coastal Carolina this weekend. Here’s a look:

That year, Auburn upset No. 3-seeded Oregon State in order to clinch a berth in Omaha. Auburn also made the CWS back in 2019, so the Tigers are looking for their 3rd such appearance under Butch Thompson.
Auburn also previously made the College World Series back in 1997, 1994, 1976 and 1967. If the Tigers are going to make it back this year, they’ll have to beat a tough Coastal Carolina team. The Chanticleers, who won the National Championship back in 2016, are the No. 1 team in the country by Warren Nolan’s ELO rating.
The Auburn Super Regional begins on Friday evening with first pitch scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on ESPN 2.
