On Wednesday, the Pepperidge Farm-owned snack brand debuted an "awesome" new flavor, and it's likely not something fans would expect (or at least guess on the first, second, or even third try).
Instead, Goldfish is making history as "the first brand to launch an Awesome Sauce-flavored cracker," or so it claims. For those needing a refresher, Awesome Sauce is typically made of some combination of mayo, mustard, ketchup, vinegar, garlic, onion, black pepper and sugar.
Along with the new Awesome Sauce flavor, the company confirmed it's bringing back a popular variety it debuted last year: Spicy Dill Pickle. Said to be packed with "tangy pickle flavor and a bold kick," Goldfish claimed it quickly became the "fastest-selling pickle snack" during its 2024 grand release, making its comeback "kind of a big dill."
"We’re thrilled to debut our bold new flavor, Awesome Sauce, and bring back fan-favorite Spicy Dill Pickle," Goldfish senior director of marketing Mike Fanelli shared in a statement. "Whether you're at a backyard BBQ, road-tripping with the family, or just soaking up the sun, this awesome flavor combination packs a bold punch for a summer full of smiles."
Fans can pre-order Goldfish's new Awesome Sauce flavor today, exclusively via Amazon. Those with more patience can find the latest and returning flavors on shelves beginning later this month at Target, Walmart, Amazon and other retailers nationwide for $3.69 (SRP)–but only for a limited time, while supplies last.
